Membership

It was 96 degrees, 100% humidity, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs and staffing food service lines for 4 hours to serve 2500 reservists and their families. We were hot, sweaty, dirty and exhausted. At the end I heard this from one of our volunteers, “Those men. Those women. Those smiling kids’ faces. I would do this again any day.” Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the Westover Galaxy Community Council. While it isn’t always about those hot days standing over a grill, our volunteering matters. Serving the Westover family matters. If you are an active member, I promise you are making a difference.
